After a great day of thrifting in Surrey (yes, in this case I can use Surrey and great in the same sentence), Lou and I had a few vintage cookie jars on our hands. The cookie jars were tinted orange and were in need of a serious upcycle. We gave one a mint green makeover and chose white for the rest. I added the chalkboard label using a stencil and a chalkboard pen from Michaels. These would look good on every kitchen counter; they turned out so well that I am going to have a hard time parting with them. Now all we need are some cookies…

Oh and if you ever find yourself in Surrey they really do have great thrift stores. You should definitely check out the MCC Thrift Shop on King George Boulevard; they have the best prices on furniture and house wares. It’s right across from the Whalley Value Village. That’s right, we went there.

Ingredients: Vintage cookie jars, paint, stencil, chalkboard pen, good times in Surrey.
